IN CELEBRATION OF NATIONAL ARTS & HUMANITIES MONTH, DIVINE
INSPIRATION GALLERY INTRODUCES NEW LOCAL ARTIST IN SOLO SHOW
Our featured artist, JIM GRANITO, is not exactly an unknown. He has received an honorable mention in a show in Chicago and most recently, since moving to Santa Barbara, he has had a piece accepted in the Butler Institute of American Art 2009 Midyear Show. He offers whimsy, satire, and probes-into-the-unknown on paper, canvas and aluminum.
WORLDS APART is the title piece in the show. Pen and paper, camera, and computer are used in each piece. Each piece embodies both the fragmentation of our world and the desire to integrate it.
The show will be displayed beginning in October, with the opening event on October 16, 2010 at 1528 State Street, Santa Barbara, CA. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Friday from noon to 5:00pm and Saturday from noon to 3:00pm.
