A one-woman exhibition of oil paintings by Kay Henry This impressionist oil painter's colorful scenes are drawn from extensive world travels and careful observation. Her free, painterly brushstrokes delight the senses with their vibrant immediacy, while maintaining structural focus throughout the painting.
Her still lifes, landscapes, street scenes, and figurative work are infused with passion. She uses rich darks and subtle grays to create powerful designs and harmonious compositions.
Kay has studied with such notable artists as Jove Wang, Charles "Reid,and Frank Webb, as well as attending the Art Center of Design.
She has won numerous awards for her oil and watercolor paintings, and has her work displayed in private and commercial collections.
She is also a member of the California Art Club, Watercolor West, Oil Painters of America, and American Impressionist Society. Kay's pure colors and happy scenes are inspired by Nature's grandeur, and vibrate with all the warmth of a carefree summer day
